[00:01:02] I have a very special guest and I have been following her for a long time on what not.
[00:01:08] So for those of you who sell jewelry on what not, I'm sure you are already familiar with
[00:01:13] Jovi or Jovies.
[00:01:14] I hope I'm pronouncing it correctly.
[00:01:18] But I'm just so thrilled and excited to have her here.
[00:01:20] So I'm going to let her introduce herself and then we will get into all the details.
[00:01:26] Okay, well my name is Jovi or Jovies, like however you want to say it.
[00:01:31] And I've been selling on what not, well I've been selling jewelry I would say for, I'll
[00:01:35] say close to 10 years like dealing jewelry.
[00:01:38] I started selling like, yeah different stuff like, you know, I love tricking and then
[00:01:43] that's kind of how I started.
[00:01:44] I love flea markets so that's kind of how I started.
[00:01:46] I love jewelry so that I kind of just, I don't know, I guess just gone drawn to that side
[00:01:53] and I've been on what not.
[00:01:56] I'll say for about a year and a half.
[00:01:59] Yeah.
[00:02:00] So did you have a background then because I know you said you liked jewelry and you've
[00:02:05] been selling it for 10 years.
[00:02:07] Yeah.
[00:02:08] But on enough.
[00:02:09] Okay.
[00:02:10] Was it always like, I guess like reselling jewelry?
[00:02:14] Yeah.
[00:02:16] I will say like I will resell like all kinds of stuff like shoes, bags, anything that I
[00:02:23] couldn't make a profit on.
[00:02:24] You know, I would go to thrift stores and I kind of, you know, like I guess what resellers
[00:02:28] do like getting your phone and just kind of look up and then like see if you can make
[00:02:32] any profit out of it.
[00:02:34] And then once I moved here, because I moved from California to Florida.
[00:02:39] So that's why we was in California when I started like that's kind of when I just
[00:02:43] focused in jewelry and then I started doing jewelry full time because it's just a lot easier.
[00:02:49] It's smaller.
[00:02:50] It doesn't take a space.
[00:02:52] So yeah, so your journey sounds very similar to mine because I used to be I used to
[00:02:58] be an everything reseller as well.
[00:03:01] And I sold handbags too because I really love them.
[00:03:04] Yeah.
[00:03:05] I don't know.
[00:03:07] You can see it right there.
[00:03:09] Oh nice.
[00:03:10] Yeah.
[00:03:11] Yeah.
[00:03:12] So I did the same thing.
[00:03:13] I kind of sold everything and then just out of necessity, I had to really get more, I guess,
[00:03:22] strategic about how much space I have, what I can store, what I can manage.
[00:03:28] And so I really narrowed down to jewelry as well.
[00:03:31] Yeah.
[00:03:33] So all right, let's talk about whatnot because I kind of have a love hate relationship
[00:03:38] with whatnot.
[00:03:40] You know, but I've so I've done pretty well selling jewelry over there.
[00:03:43] But I've also learned a lot from watching your show.
[00:03:46] So tell me how your whole whatnot journey began.
[00:03:51] You know what?
[00:03:52] I think I'm a believer in God and in Christ.
[00:03:55] So I think for me, I think it was just things lined up and there were there were
[00:04:03] door doors open and then just, you know, I moved like I started in California that
[00:04:08] I moved to be here and then it just everything started like falling into place.
[00:04:12] Like I just started like getting bigger, bigger boxes of jewelry and getting like more
[00:04:21] inventory and just being more consistent on into doing the shows.
[00:04:26] And that kind of like has been paying off.
[00:04:29] Yeah.
[00:04:30] Over the over time.
[00:04:31] Yeah.
[00:04:32] Yes.
[00:04:33] Because I remember on one of your shows I was watching you had talked about how because
[00:04:38] I think someone had left a comment in the chat or something and they were saying, Oh,
[00:04:42] you're so lucky because you have so many people on your show and you do so well.
[00:04:47] And then I remember you saying, Well, this didn't happen overnight.
[00:04:51] You know, it took like a year of me showing up over eight over eight years.
[00:04:56] Yeah.
[00:04:57] So yeah.
[00:04:58] So it took you over a year of consistently showing up every week or maybe even every
[00:05:07] day every week.
[00:05:09] And so that's what you were really trying to communicate to people is like it's not like
[00:05:14] I just turned on the camera and floods of people come in.
[00:05:18] It was, it was you being consistent.
[00:05:19] Right?
[00:05:20] Yeah.
[00:05:21] So at the beginning of the shows, I mean, like there's people also like my first,
[00:05:26] my regular buyers or people that have been with me like for like since almost
[00:05:30] like the beginnings of my shows, like they can see the difference.
[00:05:33] Like I will have like 12 people, seven people, eight people.
[00:05:36] And then like I feel when I switch like my format, like I will do the same, you know,
[00:05:42] which is, you know, like just showing the jewelry, but then I let us change the format
[00:05:47] and then I kind of like made a room into my jewelry room.
[00:05:50] And I think that really helped me out a lot into like picking up the sales and having
[00:05:56] more engagement on the shows because I do believe that people identified with
[00:05:59] you once they see you, once they see your personality and then once you see you interacting
[00:06:04] with them.
[00:06:05] So I kind of see it, you know, like watching like social media or like watching YouTube or
[00:06:11] like watching TV, you know, you're watching somebody like someone do something.
[00:06:15] So it's kind of engaging.
[00:06:17] And I think that helped me a lot as well.
[00:06:20] Yeah.
[00:06:21] Into growing, into growing like the viewers on my shows.
[00:06:24] Yes.
[00:06:25] Plus you just are so adorable.
[00:06:28] You have such a sweet personality that I think a lot of people appreciate that because you're
[00:06:33] so patient.
[00:06:34] And sometimes I'm really surprised because I'm like, wow, she has the patience of a saint.
[00:06:39] I feel like at times, you know, sometimes it's just be like, but you know, yeah, I tried,
[00:06:45] I do try it because I mean, I just put it this way, you know, like we don't know
[00:06:50] what people are going through sometimes and it's just, I just try to try to be
[00:06:56] understanding also like, also I like to have like, because it's a business, you know, and in
[00:07:03] the business, you kind of want to do the best you can towards your customers.
[00:07:08] You want to like, how can I phrase this?
[00:07:13] But you want to provide the best customer service that you can to your
[00:07:18] customers so that you keep them happy and, and, you know, and, and you kind of like,
[00:07:23] you know, you put a little bit of attention.
[00:07:26] I wouldn't say, but you make them feel like, you know, their, their opinion and whatever
[00:07:32] they need it's your, your taking into account.
[00:07:35] Yeah. So that's yeah.
[00:07:36] Yeah. It's like you're being sensitive, I guess to their needs or like you said,
[00:07:42] whatever they're going through.
[00:07:43] And I think that that goes a long way in doing this.
[00:07:47] You know, people can sense when you're genuine and they can sense when you truly
[00:07:51] care and, and when you really want to it's like you wanted to be a good experience for them.
[00:07:58] Right?
[00:07:59] You know, sometimes it does get a bit of, you know, like it's just, you know, trying
[00:08:06] to manage every situation.
[00:08:07] And also one thing I will say about one knot, I really like their, I mean, because I
[00:08:14] worked, I sold on eBay and then I sold on, on Poshmark, McCurry, not as much
[00:08:21] but I did sell on, on eBay.
[00:08:23] And the good thing about what knot that I like is that they, they, they do help
[00:08:32] their sellers.
[00:08:32] Like that's the experience that I have had so far.
[00:08:36] And I think that the fact that they help you dealing with, with a part of customer
[00:08:42] service, I think that helps a lot as well for all sellers because we don't
[00:08:47] have to like deal so much with their returns or the refunds.
[00:08:50] Like just kind of like help people like getting through the process of them,
[00:08:54] like contacting what knot.
[00:08:56] So I think that that also helps, helps, has helped me.
[00:09:01] I don't know how other people's experience, but that has been mine.
[00:09:05] Yeah.
[00:09:06] OK.
[00:09:07] So what type of advice or, or tips would you give to jewelry sellers
[00:09:14] specifically who want to sell on what knot or who want to start?
[00:09:19] Maybe they've never done it before.
[00:09:21] I will say that the best advice that I, that I would tell them is just, you
[00:09:27] know, perseverance and be patient and do not give up.
[00:09:32] It's just, it's like any other job, you know, it's like your personal
[00:09:35] it's like your, it's your business.
[00:09:37] So it do take a series.
[00:09:39] If you want to do this as a, as a real as a job and you want to make
[00:09:44] profit out of it, you need to take it serious as a real job.
[00:09:47] So you cannot be like, OK, I went there and I didn't make the money today.
[00:09:51] OK, it's not going to work.
[00:09:52] No, like you continue, you keep going and then you try and then you try and
[00:09:56] then you try and then.
[00:09:59] Also, what I would recommend is try to find.
[00:10:04] Um, I don't know, maybe have your family member like do a show and maybe
[00:10:10] have your family members or friends kind of watch your shows and kind of give
[00:10:15] so they can give you like feedback.
[00:10:18] And then one thing that I did, I don't do it as much anymore, but then I did.
[00:10:22] But I did do it at the beginning when I started like showing more.
[00:10:24] It's like I will go back and rewatch my shows.
[00:10:28] Oh, OK.
[00:10:29] So I rewatch my shows and I kind of.
[00:10:32] Um, I kind of, you know, saw everything and then I kind of like examine myself
[00:10:37] like going through the shows and I OK, I can probably like do this
[00:10:41] different or maybe I should do this different.
[00:10:43] You know, like I kind of like, you know, like how like, um.
[00:10:49] Like, you know, how do you call those the one that played with the
[00:10:53] like sports, like coaches or whatever?
[00:10:56] You know, like they, you know, they watch their games and yeah,
[00:10:59] they watch the game.
[00:11:00] They can examine the other team or they can examine how they were playing
[00:11:03] so they can correct things.
[00:11:05] So that's something that I would recommend.
[00:11:08] That's a good tip.
[00:11:10] Yeah. So also what I will say is make sure that you have a good phone
[00:11:14] with good quality camera, good lighting
[00:11:20] that you describe to your jewelry accurately.
[00:11:22] So people, so people when they get their jewelry, they actually see,
[00:11:27] you know, they if there is any flaw with your jewelry, you know,
[00:11:29] make sure that you, you know, you address that and and so that's
[00:11:34] that's pretty much I mean.
[00:11:38] What else? What else can I say to people that?
[00:11:41] That want to start selling?
[00:11:44] Well, what about like?
[00:11:47] Because I really like your setup, right?
[00:11:49] Because your setup is very different in the sense that you don't have.
[00:11:53] You don't have the camera necessarily like on you.
[00:11:57] You have it facing a mirror and then you have this big mountain of jewelry.
[00:12:02] So how did you come up with that setup?
[00:12:04] You know what?
[00:12:06] And I'm not going to take the credit for that.
[00:12:08] I like I was I watched one or other.
[00:12:10] I watched one of the other sellers.
[00:12:12] I think it was like, um, who was it?
[00:12:15] It was I don't know if that seller stealing whatnot, but I think
[00:12:19] Captain something like that he had.
[00:12:21] I think he had a hearing as well.
[00:12:23] And then it was another person and I just kind of wanted to try it out.
[00:12:28] And then that and about the jewelry, about the big piles of jewelry,
[00:12:33] that was because I've been really busy and I didn't have time to sort it out
[00:12:36] previously and I was like, you know what?
[00:12:39] I want to, you know, start doing shows like just like sorting through the jewelry.
[00:12:44] So I don't have to, you know, like because then right now I'm like
[00:12:48] doing it by myself.
[00:12:49] So I have to do like the sorting, the packing and the whole, the dropping off
[00:12:54] and everything.
[00:12:55] So it does take a little bit of time.
[00:12:57] So now that I'm sorting like in the shows, I'm saving myself like a day or
[00:13:03] two days of sorting.
[00:13:04] So that's kind of.
[00:13:08] Yeah.
[00:13:08] So for those of you who've never seen one of Jovi shows, she does, I
[00:13:13] think it's called sorting, detangle, pile or something like that.
[00:13:19] Do your unboxing and I just go through the whole thing like and more and more
[00:13:24] and more until like, and the people love it.
[00:13:26] They do.
[00:13:27] They do because I've done similar shows not as much as you've done where
[00:13:32] you have the big pile, but I will have like dig and sort kind of thing.
[00:13:38] And they just, they'll say, oh, what is that?
[00:13:40] Or what is that?
[00:13:41] Yeah.
[00:13:41] You know?
[00:13:42] And they, they get into it.
[00:13:43] And, you know, I think that's another thing that you've taught me too is
[00:13:48] like the whole show doesn't have to be hard selling, hard selling, hard
[00:13:52] selling.
[00:13:53] It could be you sorting, chatting, engaging, you know, and then
[00:13:59] throwing up a piece, you know, running an auction or whatever the
[00:14:02] case may be.
[00:14:03] So you really can make, make your show fit whatever it is you're
[00:14:08] comfortable with, right?
[00:14:11] Yeah.
[00:14:11] And, and I mean, it's, I will say what not like the sky is the limit just
[00:14:17] because they have likes, I mean, of course there's things that you
[00:14:20] cannot do.
[00:14:20] But like, I'll say that as long as you make it fun, try to be original,
[00:14:26] try to, you know, you can watch all their sellers and see what they
[00:14:29] do and get like a little bit of, it's not everything that any other
[00:14:33] like other people are doing is going to work for you.
[00:14:35] So you need to find like the things that work for you.
[00:14:38] You can try something and if it doesn't work for you, move on, try
[00:14:41] something else and then find the little things that work for you and
[00:14:46] kind of like build your own structure of business and how to run
[00:14:50] your show.
[00:14:50] So that's something that I'm, that's probably what I've been doing
[00:14:55] and like trying one thing, trying another and then, you know,
[00:14:58] things are starting to fall into place.
[00:15:00] Yeah.
[00:15:01] Yeah.
[00:15:02] So now do you do just what not full time?
[00:15:05] Is that your main thing?
[00:15:07] Yeah.
[00:15:07] So right now I'm just doing what not just because right now, you know,
[00:15:13] I'm on the process of working like paperwork to get like things
[00:15:17] going for tax purposes and all that stuff.
[00:15:20] So before I move into bigger, you know, because I would love to
[00:15:25] go back to to eBay and Poshmark and, you know, but right now,
[00:15:31] I mean, I have to go a step at a time.
[00:15:34] I cannot do everything, you know, at the same time.
[00:15:36] Yes, I know.
[00:15:38] But yeah, so right now I'm doing just a one off full time.
[00:15:42] Yeah.
[00:15:43] Yes.
[00:15:43] And how many shows do you do a week?
[00:15:46] I do only two shows and then sometimes I do three shows.
[00:15:50] Yeah.
[00:15:50] Just because of packing.
[00:15:52] If I didn't have to do packing, I would do probably five.
[00:15:56] Yes.
[00:15:56] Because I noticed your shows are a long.
[00:15:59] Yeah.
[00:16:01] Somebody call me Hobbies Machin Joe's or something.
[00:16:05] I'm a Machin Joe.
[00:16:07] Yes, because I think you do like eight hour shows or something
[00:16:10] like that.
[00:16:11] And I was I was so surprised because I think I'm doing good
[00:16:15] with an hour show.
[00:16:18] I mean, you're you're over here doing eight, nine, ten hours
[00:16:22] from tell me about that from six to from six to nine hours.
[00:16:27] I'll say my shows are usually because I only do two two shows
[00:16:32] a week.
[00:16:32] So I do have the other days to do other things and then I just
[00:16:36] I love it.
[00:16:37] I mean, I love jewelry.
[00:16:38] I love going to the I love the excitement of finding stuff.
[00:16:42] I think also like.
[00:16:45] So a lot of my reactions when I find stuff is like not like
[00:16:48] like I'm really like excited about it.
[00:16:51] You know, when I find like a like a real goal piece,
[00:16:54] like a real goal, like or like so these ones, I got them
[00:16:58] in like the stuff that I got these ring.
[00:17:00] I mean, everything that I have that's I got in like sorting on
[00:17:04] the boxes, but it's very exciting.
[00:17:06] You know, so whenever I come up, like the reaction,
[00:17:09] their reaction is real because I love going through jewelry.
[00:17:12] So that's why I'm able to go through like for a long time
[00:17:16] and and I don't get I mean, I I mean, I guess I do kind
[00:17:21] of like I mean, the body kind of gets tired,
[00:17:24] but my mind is still like you can do more.
[00:17:27] I have to pay bills.
[00:17:29] So yes, yes, you know, I'm going to try that because
[00:17:35] sometimes I'll go 45 minutes an hour.
[00:17:38] And then if I don't have anybody in my show,
[00:17:40] it's hard for me to want to keep going.
[00:17:42] Yeah, so so what advice do you give for those of us
[00:17:46] who are still trying to build a following?
[00:17:49] Like how how can we get people in our shows?
[00:17:52] How can we get people interested?
[00:17:54] Um, that like like I will say it just it's just it's going to take time.
[00:18:00] It's like you started selling is it's just going to take time
[00:18:04] for you to start getting like regular like regulars because for me
[00:18:08] and then also I think what not life's consistency.
[00:18:12] Like they want to see you at least every week every every week.
[00:18:17] So the algorithm on their so the algorithm
[00:18:20] and then also like make sure that you ask your sellers to
[00:18:25] share your shows to book your shows.
[00:18:29] So that's also something that like I believe somebody at the beginning
[00:18:34] like few months ago, somebody asked me like they asked me to go on their shows
[00:18:39] and kind of checked, you know, and then I did give them that advice.
[00:18:44] OK, so you have your shows like whenever it feels natural,
[00:18:47] you know, you sell your viewers book bookmark my shows also.
[00:18:53] You can do giveaways.
[00:18:55] You can start doing, I don't know, two, three giveaways show
[00:18:59] so that way you get more more followers.
[00:19:01] Just make sure that you click the followers only on your giveaways
[00:19:05] so people follow you in order to enter the giveaway.
[00:19:09] And that also helps you get more followers.
[00:19:13] And then when you get followers,
[00:19:14] then they get a notification when you're coming on the show.
[00:19:17] And then I think that that will help you.
[00:19:19] But I will say the most consistency and have like a lot of variety
[00:19:24] of jewelry in your shows as well, like a lot of writing.
[00:19:29] Yes. So this for sure, like if focus and sorting,
[00:19:35] yeah, focusing in sorry, I mean, I can source in.
[00:19:38] That's kind of what I wanted to say.
[00:19:39] Sourcing, focusing like like if you're starting like
[00:19:43] focusing in source stuff, so you have like enough inventory for
[00:19:50] for everyone and you don't have to sell.
[00:19:54] Just starting silver or just, you know, like you there is
[00:19:58] as you see on my shows, I do have like stuff like for everyone
[00:20:03] like junk jewelry.
[00:20:04] I have like crafting stuff.
[00:20:06] I have like some good designer stuff.
[00:20:10] I have like very beat up stuff.
[00:20:12] People still like it.
[00:20:13] People still do. Yeah.
[00:20:17] Yeah. Yeah. So now how is excuse me.
[00:20:23] How is.
[00:20:27] How how often do you schedule your shows?
[00:20:31] Like how far out in advance or do you just have the same show
[00:20:34] same day and time every week?
[00:20:36] Um, I try to but but but I will say that's something
[00:20:41] and then I might show you on my phone kind of something how I do it.
[00:20:44] So one. Yeah.
[00:20:46] Yeah. So one thing that I would recommend you schedule times
[00:20:50] like I'll say two, three months in advance.
[00:20:52] That's how I have mine. Oh yeah.
[00:20:55] You can always switch them.
[00:20:56] You can always change dates.
[00:20:58] You can always change time.
[00:20:59] So but I will say is like have your shows to schedule
[00:21:03] in advance like I will show you and how do I how I have
[00:21:06] mine. Yeah.
[00:21:08] Because I usually only schedule mine like a week or two out.
[00:21:11] Oh no.
[00:21:12] You need to like so you have so you so you can have people
[00:21:17] bookmark your shows.
[00:21:18] So whenever you come in live and then people get a notification
[00:21:23] that you're going to come up live.
[00:21:24] And then I think that also like when once people see that
[00:21:27] you have like like such a like like a lot of shows,
[00:21:29] I think that that kind of gives them an old this is a person
[00:21:32] that is like like a big bite.
[00:21:35] I don't know say big buy ever like something that someone
[00:21:37] that is doing constant shows.
[00:21:39] So they want to follow that person because they know
[00:21:41] that they're going to have something next time they come
[00:21:44] and try to buy something like.
[00:21:47] OK, OK. All right.
[00:21:49] That makes sense.
[00:21:51] Let me try to write with my phone.

[00:21:54] That's because I put it on airplane mode because I didn't
[00:21:56] want like OK, give me a second.

[00:22:04] Yes, because I kind of bounce back and forth between what not
[00:22:08] and Poshmark live.
[00:22:10] And I I also kind of want to go and do Poshmark
[00:22:14] because I think like the people are different on.

[00:22:19] What not on Poshmark.
[00:22:20] I've noticed that I do want to but go back on.
[00:22:25] But as you see here, I cannot going to show you.
[00:22:27] So my my show, my coming up show is on tomorrow,
[00:22:32] which is it will be tomorrow Friday.
[00:22:36] So that OK, there you go.
[00:22:38] No, so tomorrow, so tomorrow six, this is over right there.
[00:22:42] So that's right there.
[00:22:44] This one and that's going to be the fifth, right?
[00:22:48] Yeah.
[00:22:48] So for the fifth, as you see, and then I have, OK, there you go.
[00:22:52] If you see how many shows do I have, schedule up.
[00:22:55] Oh, OK.
[00:22:58] So and I got them scheduled up all the way to.
[00:23:03] June the ninth.
[00:23:05] Wow. OK, so you're two months out.
[00:23:08] Yeah, so two months out, you can't even put like the whole like
[00:23:11] and there is a way in there that you can put repeat this show
[00:23:15] and then have to do each one.
[00:23:16] So but I would recommend that because that way,
[00:23:19] like people can just bookmark all your shows and then
[00:23:23] and you know, you're all set.
[00:23:24] You just like get ready for shows and and the show is there
[00:23:27] and people already bookmark it and then they get a notification
[00:23:31] and then you get like you have like 50 60 people
[00:23:34] that already would mark your show that will get the notification
[00:23:37] and then there's a very good chance that they come
[00:23:40] and join your show whenever you go live.
[00:23:43] OK, so you schedule your shows up to two months out.
[00:23:48] Mm hmm.
[00:23:49] But do you?
[00:23:52] Like see, because I don't do all my listings for the show.
[00:23:56] So tell me how you do that part because.
[00:23:58] Yeah, so that's also I that's something new
[00:24:02] that I discovered as well.
[00:24:03] I didn't know that I will do like each individual listing
[00:24:07] like every time when I discovered because I will.
[00:24:10] I also one thing that I would one advice
[00:24:14] that I will give like new sellers in the beginning
[00:24:16] because you asked that it's like go and watch the big sellers.
[00:24:21] Go and sellers like go and don't you don't have to buy.
[00:24:25] People love to just for people just to come in their shows.
[00:24:28] So go and watch the big sellers, see what they do,
[00:24:32] see how they run their shows and, you know,
[00:24:35] like get little nuggets from people like see what they're doing.
[00:24:40] See what is working because obviously they're doing something good
[00:24:44] because their shows are, you know, they're successful.

[00:37:55] plumber shop or whatever and then you're though they're not

[00:38:38] You can also find people that sell like bolts of jewelry
[00:38:42] and also one thing that I want to tell the people
[00:38:44] is like if you buy stuff to resell do not expect everything
[00:38:48] that you're going to get that is going to be resellable
[00:38:51] especially jewelry so do not get discouraged when one time
[00:38:54] that you get something and then you might not get your
[00:38:57] money because it will happen.
[00:38:59] So as part of the business sometimes you make money.

[00:39:05] know like I got to a point that you know I kind of go
[00:39:07] good at like getting stuff and some pretty much like
[00:39:11] you know like able to make a profit but at the beginning

[00:39:24] and a really large lot of jewelry and I think I

[00:50:25] one right there so now is that all your
[00:50:28] jewelry that you have for sale the stuff
[00:50:30] that's on your displays everything yeah
[00:50:32] everything is just right now I have it
[00:50:34] there right now because I'm going so much
[00:50:36] on the stuff that I have in front
[00:50:38] so I guess now the back it's I just have
[00:50:40] it there for people so it looks nice
[00:50:42] on the back house yeah it is really
[00:50:45] pretty yeah so and then and then but
[00:50:49] yeah a lot of the stuff that I have
[00:50:50] there it just I have it for sale as well

[00:51:51] because I I think I brought them from my
[00:51:56] from my from my eBay account whenever
[00:52:00] so I'm gonna brought them from eBay to

[00:52:06] them and I sold like I think I sold
[00:52:07] like two two items on marketplace
[00:52:10] and whatnot so yeah it's a good
[00:52:12] idea and I want to get to that point
[00:52:14] you know of having a lot of listings
[00:52:17] and if you go to other sellers that sell
[00:52:18] jewelry as well they do have that and
[00:52:23] what I've seen what I've seen the other
[00:52:25] sellers do their most expensive stuff
[00:52:27] like the really nice designer stuff or
[00:52:31] 14 karat gold or diamond stuff they
[00:52:34] go into the buy now and then people
[00:52:37] when people are watching the shows they
[00:52:38] can always go to your store and
[00:52:40] maybe they don't see anything that
[00:52:42] they like in the show but then they see
[00:52:45] something they like in your buy now and
[00:52:47] yeah that's right that's right okay see
[00:52:50] so I'm like you I'm gonna have to set
[00:52:52] some time aside to just to just listen
[00:52:54] I have told myself you know we all
[00:52:57] we always we we all need to improve in
[00:52:59] in some area in our life so that's

[00:53:54] not only on on not only one but also
[00:53:59] maybe on posh mark and or maybe even
[00:54:03] at some point have my own online store

[00:54:10] my goal right there and just like maybe
[00:54:13] have somebody else help me like train
[00:54:15] somebody else to do shows and maybe in
[00:54:19] the future sell another categories maybe
[00:54:22] bags or you know but yeah but that's
[00:54:26] pretty much you know I'm really
[00:54:28] looking forward to growing my my shows
[00:54:31] at least get more than just two shows
[00:54:34] a week for sure yeah yeah well I mean I
[00:54:38] I totally agree with you like I would
[00:54:40] love to just do live shows five days a
[00:54:43] week like like a full-time job but I
[00:54:47] just don't have I don't have enough
[00:54:50] inventory to keep that up right
[00:54:54] because you would need to source a lot
[00:54:56] yeah to do five shows a week especially
[00:54:59] as long as your shows are yeah so I
[00:55:03] would have to figure out how I'm going to
[00:55:04] get enough inventory to sustain that
[00:55:08] yeah and that's that's the part when
[00:55:10] where you know the sourcing then I guess
[00:55:13] you want to get into um into sourcing
[00:55:17] first and try to get like where like a
[00:55:20] reliable place where you can buy your
[00:55:21] stuff at and um by books by bolts of
[00:55:27] jewelry like try try even maybe there
[00:55:31] is like just like do buy four pounds buy
[00:55:34] pounds of jewelry and try one seller I
[00:55:37] mean you can always spare like a hundred
[00:55:40] 150 bucks maybe hopefully I mean I don't
[00:55:42] know but and then um and then and then
[00:55:47] get it and go through it and see if it
[00:55:49] was worth your money yeah and and then
[00:55:52] go from there and if that didn't work
[00:55:54] then try I mean even if those kind of
[00:55:56] you know I do get it because 150 bucks
[00:55:59] and then if you don't I mean I do
[00:56:00] get it but I mean yeah in the beginning
[00:56:03] it's hard because you're not making
[00:56:04] money yet
[00:56:06] well but like but like I said like
[00:56:09] uh always do your research on items
[00:56:12] because if you don't do the research
[00:56:14] uh you might think that you didn't get
[00:56:16] anything good in the boxes and you
[00:56:19] actually did get something good but
[00:56:20] you didn't know what it was so that
[00:56:23] something you know like um just get
[00:56:25] acquainted with uh with with with
[00:56:29] jewelry like um learn about uh real gold
[00:56:35] about silver because for me that's
[00:56:38] that's my I mean I do sell the the the
[00:56:40] custom jewelry but for me my main um
[00:56:45] my main focus and what I'm looking into
[00:56:47] all this jewelry is the nuggets yes
[00:56:51] is the nuggets is the gold and the
[00:56:53] silver because that's the that's
[00:56:55] where the where the money is
[00:56:58] gonna be and not only that so like so
[00:57:01] your your gold and your silver that's
[00:57:03] something that is gonna like uh
[00:57:05] retain the the value you know like
[00:57:08] that's hard hard cash pretty much I'll
[00:57:11] say yeah and that that you can sell it
[00:57:14] and either into a um and then also one
[00:57:17] thing like a lot of people do not know
[00:57:20] uh and this is uh just a lot of people
[00:57:23] don't know they do not go and sell
[00:57:25] your gold and silver to stores and say
[00:57:28] we buy gold and silver find a refinery
[00:57:31] yes so do find a refinery that pay you
[00:57:36] market price value market price yeah
[00:57:40] value right for you for your for
[00:57:42] gram and for silver so whatever is
[00:57:44] going on on the market that's how much
[00:57:46] you're paying for gram and then not
[00:57:48] you're not getting you're not only
[00:57:50] getting paid like 80 percent of the
[00:57:52] real value or 70 percent or it's even
[00:57:55] maybe isn't 60 percent of some places so
[00:57:57] yeah yeah may have a lot of refineries
[00:58:01] online now too so if you don't have one
[00:58:03] in your city or in your area there are
[00:58:07] a few online um I've tried one that I
[00:58:12] would not recommend so so um but yeah
[00:58:16] again you would have to do your
[00:58:17] research too I'm gonna tell you the
[00:58:19] one that I use that are the one that
[00:58:21] I use it's in it's in New York and
[00:58:23] it's called Manhattan gold and silver
[00:58:25] okay that's not the one I went the one
[00:58:27] that I don't recommend is is it's called
[00:58:29] Midwest refineries oh um some some
[00:58:34] people have had really good luck there
[00:58:36] but I I sent some stuff in and I was I
[00:58:40] felt like I got ripped off so yeah
[00:58:43] with the one that I'm telling you uh
[00:58:45] you actually go online and you um
[00:58:49] you print an invoice mm-hmm so you
[00:58:52] print an invoice or like a an estimate
[00:58:54] of whatever amount that they're gonna pay
[00:58:56] you and then of course one day get it in
[00:58:59] and maybe you messed up and not everything
[00:59:01] that you sent was real gold or or silver
[00:59:04] and then it might change a bit but so far
[00:59:08] everything what I've sold is just been
[00:59:10] oh maybe a hundred bucks or even sometimes
[00:59:13] even more of what I thought I was gonna
[00:59:16] I was gonna do that uh for for golden
[00:59:20] silver and and I don't know is there like
[00:59:24] is there anything else that you want to
[00:59:26] ask me I don't know I mean I feel like
[00:59:28] we could talk about this all day
[00:59:29] because I love jewelry and I love I love
[00:59:33] doing live shows to sell my jewelry

[00:59:42] doing mostly posh mark live and I've
[00:59:45] been doing really well there that's
[00:59:46] why I haven't been doing what not as
[00:59:48] much but now that I'm talking to you
[00:59:50] now you've got me all fired up about
[00:59:53] going and trying what not again because
[00:59:56] like I said I was having a really hard
[00:59:58] time getting momentum over there because
[01:00:01] it was hard for me to get people in my
[01:00:02] shows and on posh mark I don't have that
[01:00:05] problem
[01:00:05] like then um on posh mark there's not as
[01:00:08] much as much competition exactly so
[01:00:11] posh mark is only
[01:00:13] and I don't I don't know how yeah so
[01:00:19] there's not as much competition on
[01:00:21] on posh mark and a lot of other a lot of
[01:00:24] people selling but but again um do not
[01:00:28] give up like just try it like do at least
[01:00:30] once a week like do your posh marks and
[01:00:32] then like do once a week and then
[01:00:35] do like maybe one two hours and then
[01:00:37] and you know you did not go back to
[01:00:39] and the same day do your show in
[01:00:41] posh mark and don't know yeah that's what
[01:00:43] I was doing
[01:00:44] yeah keep going and and you know you will
[01:00:47] get momentum and just uh you know and
[01:00:50] then you you'll get the uh uh your
[01:00:53] buyers you know they you need to be like
[01:00:56] uh that's what I learned that's what I
[01:00:58] saw on what not that you need to be
[01:01:00] a constant like constant on yes why
[01:01:03] not yeah consistent and and the funny
[01:01:07] thing is is I don't I can't do my
[01:01:09] shows when you're doing your shows
[01:01:10] because then nobody comes to my show
[01:01:14] because there is there is there is
[01:01:17] buyers for everyone because I see you
[01:01:19] know yes you're right shows this is
[01:01:21] where I see all my shows because when
[01:01:23] people are ready people rate me like
[01:01:26] they only stay for I okay I have like
[01:01:30] uh 70 viewers or 80 viewers or 60
[01:01:32] viewers and then somebody rate me
[01:01:34] with like 60 viewers and then now I
[01:01:36] have like 100 and something and then
[01:01:38] like like 20 minutes later I already
[01:01:41] have the same ones that I was so
[01:01:43] people I guess they get like they
[01:01:47] they they have like the people that
[01:01:49] they like and yeah that's I guess
[01:01:52] that's just like somebody likes to
[01:01:54] chop up a target some other people like
[01:01:57] to chop up one or some other people
[01:01:59] like to chop up you know other places
[01:02:01] so I guess that's again so that's
[01:02:04] something you know even though like
[01:02:06] I might be there but maybe some people
[01:02:09] want to want to watch you

[01:02:45] told me that when they get started
[01:02:47] doing this they get so overwhelmed
[01:02:49] because there's so much there's vintage
[01:02:52] jewelry there's antique jewelry there's
[01:02:53] fine jewelry there's contemporary
[01:02:56] modern jewelry right so and and one
[01:03:00] thing I will say just go with the
[01:03:01] flow enjoy it don't do it
[01:03:04] cut up with like oh you know why I don't
[01:03:06] know what this is then I'm I you know
[01:03:08] sometimes I don't know what things are
[01:03:10] like I just be like okay this is it
[01:03:12] this is what I'm selling you know what
[01:03:14] it is here is if you like it take it
[01:03:16] it's yours like that's you know like
[01:03:19] you don't have to be an expert I mean
[01:03:21] I do recommend on the golden silver
[01:03:23] and then on the designer items to
[01:03:25] that way you get a better chance of
[01:03:28] getting your money back so you're not
[01:03:30] like just buying a box for 300 400
[01:03:33] 500 bucks or whatever you might you how
[01:03:37] much you pay for your stuff or more you
[01:03:39] know like thousands of I don't know how
[01:03:40] much people pay for their stuff
[01:03:46] but if let's say you you got that one
[01:03:50] item in your stuff that is going to
[01:03:52] pay for your box or it's going to give
[01:03:54] you like some money and then you
[01:03:56] don't know what it is and then you
[01:03:57] sell it for five bucks ten bucks
[01:04:00] because you didn't know what it was
[01:04:02] so that right there is what I am and
[01:04:05] always have your phone your phone yeah
[01:04:07] Google image yes like your best friend as
[01:04:11] well yes yes thank you technology
[01:04:15] yes so so yeah that as well you know
[01:04:19] always a google image because that helps
[01:04:21] me a lot as well like identifying
[01:04:24] items so you take a screen take a
[01:04:27] picture and then a google image and
[01:04:29] then then you will find the items so
[01:04:32] that way and then always do research
[01:04:36] about stuff so that way you become more
[01:04:38] knowledgeable about jewelry in general
[01:04:41] and like like you were saying do not
[01:04:44] do not get overwhelmed do not get discouraged
[01:04:47] uh you will learn at your own pace and
[01:04:49] little by little and and it is a journey
[01:04:51] you know like I think
[01:04:54] you're never going to stop learning
[01:04:56] about jewelry just because there is so
[01:04:57] much of it from all over the world like
[01:05:00] each country has their own stuff that
[01:05:03] specialize on you know
[01:05:04] Colombia they got the emeralds like
[01:05:06] Africa got the the diamonds
[01:05:10] Mexico got has a sterling silver
[01:05:13] um so you know you will learn from
[01:05:17] so much stuff from all over so
[01:05:19] yes and Asia has jade right and like
[01:05:24] there's just so much from all over
[01:05:26] the world and so you will learn as you
[01:05:29] go and and and you know just
[01:05:33] keep going and and people always have a
[01:05:36] positive mindset as well always have
[01:05:38] positive mindset do not let like negative
[01:05:41] uh you know stuff discourage you do not
[01:05:44] let the opinions of all discourage you
[01:05:46] like focus and what you're doing I'm
[01:05:49] believing yourself believing that you
[01:05:51] can do it you know focus and what
[01:05:53] you're doing and and believe okay i'm
[01:05:55] doing this and i'm going to do the best
[01:05:57] that I can what i'm doing so
[01:06:00] that's something you know even if you
[01:06:01] have like a you know some shows and
[01:06:03] sometimes are not going to be that
[01:06:05] amazing but it's okay the the next one
[01:06:07] is going to be better so just do that
[01:06:09] as well you know have your mind uh
[01:06:12] then once you're done with the show
