[00:00:37] So if you're dreaming of turning your hobby into a hustle, or if you're a seasoned pro looking to stay at the top of your jewelry reselling game, join me each week for insights, stories, and more on the Jewelry Resellers Podcast. All right. Hello, Danille.

[00:00:56] Hey Desiree, how's it going? Hey Desiree, how's it going? I am doing really well and I'm even better now that you're here. Oh thank you. So just a little bit of backstory with me and Danille.

[00:01:12] We actually meet or we met a couple weeks ago right like at the antique jewelry and watch show here in Las Vegas. I saw his little table set up. We got to chatting and I'm really excited to bring him to you because he has an amazing

[00:01:28] tool that I just learned about and I think would be very helpful for all of us selling jewelry, reselling jewelry, even searching for jewelry. So why don't you go ahead and start by introducing yourself and letting us know exactly what it is that you do. Yeah, absolutely.

[00:01:45] Yeah, thanks. Thanks for stopping by our booth and kind of inviting me on this podcast. Very excited to share with your audience and yourself more about a Plotify. So I'm the co-founder of a company called the Plotify. We are a jewelry inventory management and e-commerce automation tool.

[00:02:03] So we are specifically playing in the jewelry resale vintage antique estate jewelry space and we built a tool. I'll talk about it more about our background and kind of how we came up with the

[00:02:14] company later, but we built a tool specifically for jewelers who are selling on eBay, on Etsy, Ruby Lane, Firstibs or if you have a website on Shopify, we also integrate with that. And the inspiration came from there's a lot of other cross-listing tools that probably

[00:02:31] you and your audience is familiar with, but none of them are kind of built specifically for jewelry. So that's something that we wanted to change and make life easier for jewelers. Yeah, and I think that's really important because that's one of the reasons why I

[00:02:44] started this podcast, because there's a ton of podcasts about reselling and there's a ton of podcasts about just jewelry. But there was no podcast about reselling jewelry specifically, especially antique vintage pre-owned that type of thing.

[00:03:00] So I think that what you're doing is definitely fulfilling a need or a gap in this space as it relates to jewelry resale, however, however people do it, however their business model is set up. So I do have your brochure that I grabbed.

[00:03:18] So, I don't know, why don't you kind of walk us through how this tool works and what we need either to get started or what the steps would be?

[00:03:29] Yeah, absolutely. I think let me dive in a little bit of a backstory because I feel like that always helps. So both me and my co-founder, we come from a jewelry background.

[00:03:39] I used to work for Vintage and Antique Jewelry Company as well as I spent some time down on 47th Street here in New York. So pretty familiar with the landscape.

[00:03:49] And, you know, I used to be one of the people working for this company who would sit there and manually list products on these online marketplaces as well as our website. Right. So the company was big on e-commerce.

[00:04:01] So First Dibs, Ruby Lane, Etsy, eBay, all the other really big platformers that we see jewelers sell on, especially from Vintage and Antique Jewelry estate. And I kind of just sat there with my co-founder, like, there's got to be a better way.

[00:04:18] So we came up with a tool to help automate that process. Now, of course, as I mentioned, there's other tools out there that I'm sure a lot of you are familiar with. Cellbrite and whatever. It's not like we went ahead and invented something super new.

[00:04:31] But as I mentioned, what we noticed is a lot of those tools are generic. Those businesses are trying to power all e-commerce automation, all cross listing. So whether you're selling t-shirts or you're selling cars online or you're selling jewelry, like you can technically use that tool to list.

[00:04:47] And what we noticed comes from that inherently is just something that can be quite complicated to get set up, especially because jewelry just has so much more information and so many more intricacies than really most of the products out there.

[00:05:04] You know, a t-shirt is maybe medium and red and maybe as a design, but jewelry has got stone cuts. It's got carra weights. It's got shapes in different colors and multiple stones.

[00:05:12] And getting something that's maybe a bit generic to work for that can take a lot of time to either set up. So you have to really invest your time into it.

[00:05:20] Or what we saw kind of as a big gap in the industry for those who are using something that is just the details aren't being filled out to the max on the marketplaces.

[00:05:30] So you might be listing on it. You might be listing on eBay, but, you know, just all the jewelry specifications are not getting filled out. And that's a problem because the marketplaces, they reward you for that.

[00:05:41] It's how they index your products by filling out all those little boxes and checking all those fields. You're making sure that when somebody goes on eBay and filters for a 14-karat, you know, yellow gold diamond ring, that's how your products get discovered.

[00:05:56] So you're not filling in that information that you're not showing up on those searches and things like that. So we wanted to really simplify and focus down just on jewelry and make the easiest process of listing those products online and bring the best version of your products online.

[00:06:13] Yeah. So when that's one of the things that I think why a lot of people don't cross lists in the sense of because of all the item specifics.

[00:06:24] And if you had to enter that manually on each platform, I mean, nobody has that kind of time, you know, to spend to constantly do that.

[00:06:34] But like you said, it's very important because then your item will rank and search much higher and you will find a buyer for whatever the item is. So it only helps us to be more specific.

[00:06:46] The problem is the time that it takes in order to do that, especially on multiple platforms.

[00:06:53] Absolutely. And we even have some if we get to this point where maybe I can share my screen, we have even some cool AI features that help you extract those details and even save time in filling them in just once on the plotify.

[00:07:05] That's the idea, right? You fill in all the specifications once on the plotify, you push a button and uploads to all the marketplaces we support with all those details properly mapped.

[00:07:13] But even before that, we have some pretty cool features that just leverage your title and description to kind of help speed up that process. But that's me getting too into the weeds. I think what you're saying is totally correct, though.

[00:07:26] Even the way our plans are structured and where we see our customers have a lot more success is when they are in all these marketplaces, just helping expand that online presence, capture more Google search, real estate, maximize the audience you're reaching, because it is different across all marketplaces.

[00:07:42] Somebody who shops on Etsy every day is very different from somebody who shops on Ruby Lane every day.

[00:07:47] But the stories I hear every day from our customers is, hey, I just randomly sold something on Ruby Lane for a ridiculous amount of money that I never expected I would. Because that item never sold on Etsy or never sold on eBay.

[00:08:02] So we're always encouraging our clients to just be everywhere that they can be. And again, a plotify's mission is there is to help support and make that as easy as possible.

[00:08:13] All right. So I'm looking at the brochure and the websites that you integrate with our first dibs, Shopify, Etsy, Ruby Lane, eBay and is that it? Cherish. Oh, and Cherish, Cherish. Yes. All right.

[00:08:36] OK, so I guess then then how well maybe you should share your screen so people can get an idea of what it looks like and how they would, you know, what the process looks like, you know, going through listing something.

[00:08:52] Because I'm going to assume it's like other cross-listing platforms in the sense that you just kind of fill out maybe a template or something you have and then that gets distributed everywhere. On a very high level, yes. OK, it's pretty much that.

[00:09:09] I know like that idea of templates is something that again you have to kind of set up in the beginning for some of those other tools. Again, we just try to simplify as much as possible. So there's not even an idea of a template in a plotify.

[00:09:21] A plotify itself is that jewelry template because that's the only category support. Everything in that platform is just so built for that. So if you're looking at the brochure, there's actually two sides to it.

[00:09:32] The left side is about inventory management and the right side is about e-commerce automation or the other way around, I guess. The right side is inventory management. No, no, I just mean on the brochure. So so there's actually two things that a plotify does.

[00:09:45] One is obviously just powering to automatically sell online and manage that process. There's a second part to a plotify and that's for those who are also running things in person. So being able to just manage inventory, create invoices, create memos, track your payment history, manage your customer list,

[00:10:01] being able to see how much business you're doing with each customer. If you're doing anything around wholesaler, dealer to dealer, we have the ability to create catalogs and collections that you can brand and share privately with your customers.

[00:10:12] So there's a lot more to the offline part of a plotify as well. In case anybody who's watching this is running a store or a showroom or an office. We do have those capabilities, even as far as like printing tags to hang on your jewelry.

[00:10:27] All of that. Yeah, I see that. That's great. So like even if someone were to do like a pop up shop or like a little market place kind of thing, you know, like a fair or something like that, that would be excellent.

[00:10:42] So now the the main thing that a lot of us worry about is when something sells on one platform, does it get instantly delisted on all the other platforms? Because we don't want any any hiccups as it relates to that. Of course, of course. Yes.

[00:10:59] We're constantly listening for orders on your marketplaces and even one of the taps that we have in our system is order. So when you do sell something, if you're using a plotify, that central hub to power your operation, that order comes in.

[00:11:12] It gets linked straight to the Shopify or the eBay or the Etsy order that you just received. So you can click on it, go there, fulfill it. It pulls in the customer information, right? It creates a record of transactions. So it all lives right there.

[00:11:25] And of course, of course, in the war scenario that something does get returned, you're always able to very easily relist that back on wherever it needs to be. OK, and then what about for like if you have a multiple quantity of something,

[00:11:38] let's say it's the same thing, but you sold one on Ruby Lane and one on Etsy. And you're saying you actually have two or do you? Right, right. Yeah. And you have let's say I have four.

[00:11:49] Yeah. So if you have multiple quantities of the same item, that's something you can indicate. So you sell something, you'll reduce the quantity by one. OK, OK. All right. OK. Well, that sounds easy enough. And as it relates to, I guess, keeping track of.

[00:12:08] Analytics or sales data or anything like that, is there something that gives us that information as well? Like maybe. What platforms are getting the most views or most hits or you know what I mean, like stuff like that? Yeah, absolutely.

[00:12:25] So when you go to your documents page, which is what we call where, you know, your invoice is kind of transaction history, everything lives. There's actually a little widget at the top right there that shows you your numbers.

[00:12:34] You can filter by this month. You can filter by which marketplace. So you can really drill down on on the information you're trying to understand. Now, if you're also, you know, doing a good job of entering information into Plotify, such as like what was my cost, et cetera,

[00:12:48] Plotify will also calculate your profits and make it easy for you to do your accounting at the end of the year or, you know, any time period that you need to do it. Oh, OK, OK. And then obviously, like customer support.

[00:13:02] So I see here you say you have 24-7 support because that's always huge. Because, you know, a lot of people are still going to be learning or maybe they don't know. So you do have support. Our customer service, whatever. Whenever somebody needs help.

[00:13:19] Yeah, absolutely. We work with companies all over the globe, some in Australia, some some in the UK, some in India, obviously a lot of the United States as well. So every every one of our customers has a direct point of contact from somebody

[00:13:32] in our company that can reach out to any point. You know, even even me, I have our clients who text me when they need help or have questions. And I think if you went and asked any of our customers, they would tell you that

[00:13:44] their reply and the help is very fast. OK, OK. It's a personal touch that really matters to us. So we do get to know all of our customers. It's not a chat bot or somebody behind an email that you know.

[00:13:58] It's it's the ability to say, hey, then you're like really having trouble here. Like, can you hop on a quick screen share with me? Like, yeah, no problem. Oh, OK, OK. Yeah. I would love it if you could give us a demo, if if that's OK.

[00:14:12] Absolutely. Let me get things set up here. Yeah, take your time. Take your time. So for those of you, while Danielle is setting it up, this is the website here. And of course, I'll have a link in the description and the show notes of this episode.

[00:14:30] So if you have any questions or if you're just curious as to how this works. That's the website. So, yes, give me a second here. Yeah, yeah, no rush, no rush. So I'm really excited about this, too, because I don't really use a cross listening tool, but

[00:14:54] you know, I'll never say never, you know, as my business continues to kind of grow and change as I do. I'd rather I'd rather have the option and know that that it's out there than not know.

[00:15:07] And that's the whole point of our conversation today is to really let people know, hey, you know, we there's tools out there to make this business easier for you. And there's also things you can do so you're not spending so much time, you know, listing and all that.

[00:15:25] Absolutely. Where do you sell? Well, I mostly do live selling, but in the past, I've sold on eBay, Poshmark. I also do like marketplace sometimes. But for the most part, I was when I at the height of doing my jewelry thing, I was selling on eBay.

[00:15:45] That was my number one my number one place. But now that I do live selling, I don't really do even that much anymore because I really like I like the energy and and the fun of doing live shows. So that's kind of my main my main squeeze.

[00:16:02] That's my jam right now. Cool. Right. Yeah. Yeah, we've had a few customers actually mentioned Poshmark. So it's what it's an integration that we're looking into adding as well as the Sterak collective, I think has been coming up recently

[00:16:15] in the jewelry world, which I think you might be familiar with. And then I think the one that I'm really excited to share about is Cherish. Yeah, I'm familiar with Cherish. You know, they're really big on furniture and decor.

[00:16:29] They had a jewelry section for some period of time. And I think they shut it down and they're bringing back to life and really putting a lot of kind of heat under that section, really trying to grow that area of their marketplace.

[00:16:41] So we're actually in the process of building an integration with them. So it's going to be a pretty exciting opportunity for, you know, our clients and any kind of new clients who join to get on a marketplace that's new, that's being really paid

[00:16:54] like close attention to from from the leadership of the company. And that's not overcrowded yet. So if anybody here is watching or listening to this has hasn't heard of Cherish, definitely go go check it out.

[00:17:06] Yeah. And, you know, I know a lot of people that sell on Macari, too. I don't know if you're thinking about adding that into the rotation. But I mean, Macari is probably not the best the best place for like better quality jewelry.

[00:17:20] However, every now and again, somebody will sell something amazing on there or you can find something amazing on there, you know, if you're sourcing or if you're just going to shop. But any plans to add Macari? Yeah, I mean, honestly, I haven't.

[00:17:36] I'm not as familiar with Macari, so I'll definitely take a look after after this. We build kind of based on what we hear from our from our clients, our current customers. That's like a big philosophy in the company, too,

[00:17:49] like when it comes down to adding new features or building things out in the platform, it really comes down to the feedback that we get and what the customers are requesting, as opposed to just kind of sitting

[00:17:57] there looking at the wall and thinking like, oh, what should we build next that nobody actually cares about? So, you know, even if kind of if somebody goes and explores our platform and they get into, you know, the invoicing

[00:18:10] or the memo functionality, like a lot of that was built closely with our customers were like, you know, I'd love to be able to do that on the platform. And, you know, we sat down directly with them, figured out kind of what's the ideal workflow because,

[00:18:21] you know, whatever the current system that we're using wasn't working that well and really built out something that really works well and is easy to use. So, as I mentioned, like we had a few folks ask about Poshmark, you know, if we get requests for Macari,

[00:18:33] like we're always adding more marketplaces. It's in our best interest. So yeah, why not? Yeah, yeah, you know, and I think, like you said, you know, to get to get your your jewelry exposed to as many people as possible, that's really the key to selling it.

[00:18:50] You know, and, you know, not that Macari isn't a good place. I just know that probably you've already got the main ones covered as it relates to like the better, you know, the better marketplaces. But, you know, it's something to think about down the line,

[00:19:07] because I do know a lot of people that buy there and a lot of people that sell there. Yeah, no, absolutely. Thank you for kind of putting me on that. I'll check it out. And yeah, what I see is like every day is just incredible

[00:19:20] statistics about the almost like like the randomness of where things are getting bought. You know, I was chatting with another customer the other day and said, you know, I just saw something on Etsy and then something on RubyLand that I never expected.

[00:19:33] I'd sell there and First Dibs is doing really well for me. And all those marketplaces, they allow for a range of prices. Right. So we have customers who sell things for thousand dollars on First Dibs and also who sell something for, you know, one hundred thousand dollars.

[00:19:48] Wow. I hope to get there one day. Well, yeah, just got to go to the Vintage Energy show and really pull out the credit card. Exactly, because I know where to find this stuff, right? It's just a matter of being able to get it. Absolutely. Yeah.

[00:20:05] I love attending an exhibiting. I was just like, like one day, I'll just buy that for myself. Oh, yeah. You know, it's like it's amazing. The stuff there, because I was talking with Michelle, she actually organizes that show and she was telling me how,

[00:20:21] you know, if you just think about the dollar amount of stuff that is just not even in the room, but like, say, in one particular booth, she's like, it's mind blowing. And that's why some of those vendors, like they bring their own security.

[00:20:34] They have all kinds of stuff. And I said, yeah, I said it's it's breathtaking. You know, some of those pieces there, you know, and some of them like you won't find on a marketplace. You will only find it if you attend these shows. Oh, absolutely.

[00:20:47] A lot of a lot of people kind of core. They're also wholesalers, so they sell directly to the people who then sell it on marketplaces. So, you know, we're watching this listening to if you haven't checked out the shows, definitely recommend Vegas.

[00:21:01] There's one in New York in the fall. Miami is a great show. It's big. It doesn't only have jewelry, has some vintage and antique items as well. Yes, I'm I really love going to all to all of these. Yeah. OK, so I'll see you there.

[00:21:13] We'll probably have a booth in Miami this time around as well. So sorry, in Miami, kind of next year in January. Yeah, it's in January. So that's like the huge one. I think that one was first.

[00:21:26] And then they added like the Las Vegas one, like for West Coast. So they have an East Coast and a West Coast one. But yeah, I'll be there in January. I'm excited. Yeah, absolutely. Everybody should check it out at least once.

[00:21:38] It's a fantastic time and just the energy. And it's a beautiful room as well, you know. So, yeah, I can't wait. This will be my first time going. And it's an excuse to go to Miami. So who can complain about that?

[00:21:50] Yes, I'll have to make some time to hit the beach as well. Well, I don't know. It might be cold, but it's never really cold in Florida, right? Yeah, you know, like I always get not very lucky with the weather

[00:22:00] whenever I go to Miami and especially like early January. This this year when we went like we had two good days when it was like really hot, excellent weather. And we weren't we wouldn't have a booth. We're just kind of walking around.

[00:22:14] So I took a day off and just kind of spent it on the beach. But oh, nice, nice. Yeah. So it's definitely a good time. All right. So I'm ready whenever you dive into it. Yeah, go ahead.

[00:22:27] And then that way, I will add your screen to the recording. So for those of you listening to the audio version of this, if you want to see Daneel do like a little demo and a walkthrough,

[00:22:39] hop on over to the YouTube channel and you can actually watch this in real time as he's doing it. Absolutely, yes. And also, of course, if anybody's interested, they want to reach out, get a personal demo always on our website. Just go there, upload a file.

[00:22:54] I click book a demo and we'll be in touch soon to kind of get you get your schedule. Cool. All right. Let me show you my screen. So this should be now showing the platform. Can you see it? Mm hmm. I see it. Can you see it?

[00:23:17] Well, I have. Oh, yeah, you're on the other. But yes, we see it. We see it. OK, great. So this is the home screen of a plotify, as I mentioned at the top here, you can see products, which is your inventory documents

[00:23:30] is where your invoice has memos, transaction history, live or can live. If you're using that customers is pretty self explanatory. It's your customers. And then collections is a powerful way to organize your jewelry. So if you're doing pop up shows, trunks, you know, you're going to a show

[00:23:45] like Vegas, maybe even having a booth. You probably want to create a collection of things you're taking with you because it might not be your entire inventory. And you can actually filter the system to just be able to see what's what you have on hand with you.

[00:23:58] And I'll show that bit at the end. But then you can also turn them into like private catalogs that almost like a Google Drive link, you can just text to somebody or email it to them and they'll be able to open it up

[00:24:09] and view just the pieces that you decided to share with them. As opposed to having to text somebody like 10 pictures of the latest rings you just got, something like that. So next to every product in my inventory here, there's a status,

[00:24:23] there's a date of when it was created, and there's also this plus sign that just drops down to quick specifications. So you can easily again, if you're a show, you know, your showroom or something like that, just drop down and quickly

[00:24:35] see, OK, here's the carat weight on this piece. Here's the cut. If a customer is asking you, if you just want to double check yourself as well as kind of what's your cost on it, your wholesale price, if you're doing that, just all the information.

[00:24:46] And the reason I'm showing this is to really drive back at the point of like us being really jewelry focused. So we have all these fields that are jewelry specific that again, other platforms might not have or it might take you effort

[00:24:59] to set up with a photo if it just comes out of the box. OK. Also, just being able to manage your inventory and filter for whatever you're looking for. So being able to filter for the type of jewelry you're looking for,

[00:25:10] price ranges, stones, carat weight ranges, stone cuts, clarity, color grades, metals and materials, weight, style if you're doing like vintage antique jewelry. Right. So just really being able to easily find exactly what you're looking for in your inventory

[00:25:27] for when a customer requests that or if you want to upload something specific online. All right. Is there a way to put in a SKU number? Absolutely. So the search bar right here, you can type in your SKU search by SKU, but you can also search free text.

[00:25:44] So if I type in diamond ring emerald, you'll see anything that actually matches those keywords where it will start pulling out for me automatically. So I can kind of free text just describe the piece as well to search for it or even super something, something super specific

[00:25:58] like two point three four. You can actually see this as a two point three four carat weight in it. So all this information is very easily researchable. All right. And then I know for me, like a lot of times I search things by date

[00:26:09] because I know I say, oh, I know I listed that in April. So I also search like everything I posted in April or something like that or by a date range or something. Yeah, absolutely. So right now just in the all tab, which is all my inventory.

[00:26:23] But right here, you know, we're showing the created on. And then if I switch to the published tab, we'll show you the published on dates. Oh, OK, OK. So I sure probably started with this in the beginning. So the all tab contains all your jewelry

[00:26:35] with all the different statuses, sold, published, draft, finalized, things like that. And these are just give you the ability to switch between like, where is that product and lifecycle right now? So if I go to my drafts,

[00:26:46] these are the products I'm still working on bringing to life. Right. Maybe I'm still finishing writing my description. I'm still finishing putting all the specifications or, you know, I'm still still got to go take a video.

[00:26:56] So that piece will stay in your drafts until, you know, you upload it and then it'll actually become published. And is there a way to schedule the listings to go live at a certain date or certain time?

[00:27:08] So right now we don't have like the ability to schedule something. Typically, our customers are going to upload it as soon as they enter the piece in their inventory and are ready to. Of course, if you feel like you want to do 10 things every day,

[00:27:20] just come back tomorrow and click upload on 10 more pieces. It's pretty, pretty fast and forward. OK. No, I'm just thinking because I know a lot of us use a scheduling feature like on eBay. And so I'm wondering if maybe this had a scheduling, but that's OK.

[00:27:37] I don't think that's, you know, honestly, like we haven't had that many requests for it. But again, like if that's something that was being asked for, for our customers, it wouldn't be hard for us to add. That's something where, you know, we're releasing a new feature

[00:27:50] and update every every week, probably again, just based on what customers are kind of giving us feedback. Yeah, you know, because the other thing, too, is if someone's on vacation, right? And maybe they still want to list five things a day,

[00:28:04] but they don't want to have to do it manually, then they could schedule those out. Or if someone's on vacation and maybe they don't want to list anything, they they can just put their store or their page on vacation mode

[00:28:15] or whatever, or just not like you said, not publish a listing for those days or whatever. Gotcha. Yeah, for sure. Now I can totally get how that can be helpful, especially if you're maybe juggling multiple things or a vacation, which is the better one. Yeah. For sure.

[00:28:31] Well, you know, a lot. Well, some of us do take a vacation from time to time. So but we don't want our money to slow down or we don't want our, you know, we don't want our stores to not be updated or fresh. So absolutely.

[00:28:47] But I think I'll show you how easy it is to upload something and you understand why it takes like 30 seconds to get it done. Right. Right. So right now I'm in the draft tab on the right side here.

[00:28:56] We actually have these two columns called progress and missing fields. So we're actually checking for all the details you have or haven't filled out and are helping guide you towards making sure that you are filling out all the details that the marketplaces require.

[00:29:09] Again, going back to the idea that it just they reward you for being as detailed as possible. So we in our platform want to encourage you to publish the best version of your listing online and we help guide you towards that.

[00:29:21] I can click on these columns so you can see right now I'm just sorting by no missing fields. But if I click again, I can see, OK, these probably need a lot more TLC before I go ahead and upload them. Oh, OK, that's great.

[00:29:33] Making a product is super easy. You can see this thing that popped up, right? Mm hmm. I see it. Great. So I can go ahead and add my images in. I actually know if I have any jewelry images. There we go. Just random using some random pictures.

[00:29:48] If I want to rearrange the order, I can just drag and drop. You can put in up to 20 images per product. And some marketplaces only accept less than that. So we'll just use the first like eight or something in that case.

[00:30:00] As well as your video here as well. And then when you're looking down below, it's just the creation of the product. So I'll grab a sample like just title here for a product. Reference numbers, just your SKU. If you are not using SKU, just click generate upload.

[00:30:16] If I will start generating a SKU system for you, if you have an existing SKU system, we can actually continue following that automatically. And then I will take a description here. Put that here and then enter my price.

[00:30:32] And again, if I want to track costs for accounting purposes or any other kind of type of business that I'm doing, I can put that up here as well. And then we do have something called custom pricing.

[00:30:41] So this actually lets you vary your pricing strategy across each marketplace. I know some marketplaces kind of take higher commission. So some people want to mark up when they're uploading there. So Blotify does let you do that as well as do that automatically.

[00:30:55] So you can actually go to settings and say, every time I upload to eBay, I want to mark out by 10 percent. And that will happen for you automatically every single time. Oh, that's great. That's great. And then what you're looking down below are all the fields

[00:31:09] and specifications that all the jewelry marketplaces that we support require. We basically took them all, downloaded them, matched them into this one page. So as long as you're filling in all the specifications here, your listings will be properly published with all the details

[00:31:21] filled out on each of the marketplaces that we support. The fun part comes in when I grab this title and description, I can actually hit this auto fill button. And at this point, I will read through your product title

[00:31:35] and your product description and try to pull out all those details for you. So as you saw, that page was empty. If I scroll down, you can now see we've got our category filled out. It picked up all the information about the primary stone.

[00:31:47] So it's a sapphire 7.1 carats. It even pulled out the report. It pulled out the information that is surrounded. So there's diamonds that surround the stone and I'm not using the right picture for this product. So that's my mistake, as well as any metals and materials

[00:32:03] and other information about the condition, the style of this piece, etc. So, you know, it's AI and it's a computer. You can only go off of what you have in there. So if you didn't say it's our deco, you won't include that.

[00:32:13] But if you did say that also pick up on things like our deco and whether it's a Tiffany, you know, things like that. Oh, wow. That is so cool. So this is just meant to, again, help you save time when you're filling out all these boxes

[00:32:27] and then take these products to a marketplace. So other things you can do is for Etsy, we automatically generate these product tags and using that AI. If you don't like them, you can just remove some of them and add your own, of course.

[00:32:41] This will go to the Etsy tag section. And then for if you're doing calculated shipping on marketplaces, you can set up package profiles so that you're not every single time entering a dimension of this product, but instead just have a few profiles

[00:32:53] you can choose from and apply that automatically when you're uploading. So I'm not going to go and actually finish this listing, but hopefully you get the idea. Yeah, and it's really clean. You know, the interface is very simple.

[00:33:08] It's not a whole lot of bells and whistles that you're like overwhelmed by. You're like, oh my gosh, you know, what is this? What is that? Again, we need simple layout. Thank you. We really try to make it as simple as possible.

[00:33:19] And we have customers who use it with all age ranges as well, you know, especially in the vintage and antique jewelry. You might get some older folks. So we try to make it really easy and accessible for everybody. You don't have to be computer savvy to use it.

[00:33:31] I think there's probably I can count on one hand how many buttons our platform has. Like that's how simple it is. That's great. So, yeah. So once I'm done filling this out, I'm good to go. I can finalize the product that just moves it out of drafts.

[00:33:46] Again, this helps me stay organized, finalize this stuff. I'm done working on it any point. I can upload it. That can be tomorrow. That can be a week from now when I come back from vacation. Drafts are going to stay in drafts because I'm still working on them.

[00:33:58] And then once I am ready to select the products, I upload. Now I just choose where I want to go. Like upload and at this point, that will be uploaded to all of your marketplaces that you have connected. Oh, wow. That is fantastic.

[00:34:13] I can really see how this is going to save people tons of time. Thank you. I mean, yeah, really like three buttons like you can't go over you can't make a mistake when you do this. Exactly. Exactly.

[00:34:25] And when things are published, they go into the published app against these just so you can track things by status. We'll track where you publish these products on as well as when did you publish them? Again, all of these are clickable, filterable, et cetera.

[00:34:37] And when when something sells, like I mentioned, you'll get a order populated automatically in the orders page. It'll link with the customer, but the order to a Shopify order or to an Etsy order and you can just click on it and go ahead and fulfill it

[00:34:55] and make sure you're not double selling basically. Yeah, that's like I said, that's always the thing we worry about because God forbid, you know, nobody wants any dings or negatives, you know, on their account. You know, so that's always important.

[00:35:11] It's like if I sell it here, please take it off everywhere else. Absolutely. Yeah. All right. So that was fantastic. And like you all saw, it looks pretty simple. You know, if if you can list on eBay, this is going to be cake from what I've seen.

[00:35:28] Yeah, there's a couple of other things that I think I want to mention. I can actually show some live listings on eBay as well. There were made with a photo file, but we can do custom templates for descriptions so we can replace the kind of the plain text

[00:35:42] description with actually something that's that's branded. Let me go ahead and show you an example. And again, these are just, you know, customizable for for your company, for your brand. So the example that I'm showing is not like it's not like everything

[00:35:56] looks like this. It's just what kind of this. Yeah, it's just giving us an idea of what you can do. Right. Yeah, absolutely. So give me a second. I'm also pulling that up. And I really should have come prepared with all my links, but.

[00:36:10] San, you said that there's a lot of people you said of all ages, but you look really young. So I'm younger. Sorry. I look younger than I am. Me too. People say that about me, too. So I try to try to moisturize, you know.

[00:36:28] Yes. Yeah. Skincare is key. All right. So getting the screen show again. OK, great. Yeah, we got it. So this is just example of an e-mail listing. Again, you can see kind of the specifications that are put if I fills out automatically for the jewelry.

[00:36:44] So it's very detailed. It has all those nuances. And then this is the template I was talking about. So we actually go ahead and replace the kind of plain English plain text description with something that's a bit more branded. Now, this customer has kind of shipping policies, etc.

[00:36:57] written in there as well. Here's just another example of something that again, just has kind of customized template to their brand. So you can point links towards, you know, more sections on your on your eBay page, etc.

[00:37:12] You can even make a whole like basically make it look like a mini website. Oh, that's fantastic. I love it. I love it. All right. Well, this is just genius. I think you and you and your your partner did an amazing job with this

[00:37:26] because it basically checks off all the boxes, you know, of what jewelry resellers need. Yeah, I mean, we try to. I didn't even get into the nits and in gritties of our Shopify integration, but essentially Shopify doesn't come with any of those fields

[00:37:44] that marketplaces do right for the first time. Right for the for the care with the center. So I'll put if I actually automatically creates them in Shopify for you, they're called better fields and it enables use that automatically put things into collection based on certain rules.

[00:38:00] If you want to have a section on your website is dedicated to 14K gold, I don't know, antique rings. Again, just by using the information that I'm bringing over, you can automate that process. You can also turn them into really advanced jewelry filters

[00:38:12] on the front end of your of your website. It helps with SEO, at least according to Shopify. And that we offer that as free part of getting started with a notify. So we will help set it set that up for you.

[00:38:25] You don't have to figure it out on yourself. And if you're not on Shopify, but you're looking for a website, we do actually build websites on Shopify for jewelers. So, oh, wow. That out as well. OK, yeah, because I've talked to a lot of jewelry resellers

[00:38:38] who they actually are looking to start their own website because so many people are frustrated, you know, with eBay or Etsy or whatever platform is giving them a headache that week. And so a lot of people like to have their own websites, say Shopify,

[00:38:53] in addition to selling on all of the other platforms that we talked about today. So I think it's a good it's a good strategy because I've even thought about doing that, too, just kind of creating my own website and then, you know, not, you know,

[00:39:08] not not listing anywhere else, but also just to kind of have another option for people who may want a more personalized experience shopping and not having to be one of millions on eBay or Etsy or Poshmark or whatever.

[00:39:22] Exactly. I mean, I hope nobody from the marketplace watches this podcast. But, you know, in so many cases, I hear, you know, somebody saw something on Etsy and then kind of they Googled for it and they bought from the customer's website.

[00:39:34] And of course, you know, the fees are lower that way. Or if you have an audience on Instagram that follows you, you know, you can direct them to the website and build your mailing list and your customer list and all this stuff that obviously you get

[00:39:46] by having your own website that you own as opposed to, you know, being on a platform that not that you're just part of. But of course, you know, as I preach every single day, just be everywhere you can. Yeah, yeah.

[00:40:01] You know, and the other thing, because I know a woman who does that, she actually puts things on her website first for maybe 10 percent less. So if people want to buy it from her website, they can.

[00:40:13] But then after a certain amount of time, then she moves it on to eBay. And then, of course, because of the fee, she has to charge a little bit more. So there is an incentive, you know, for the customer

[00:40:25] as well as us as the seller, because we don't have to pay all the fees other than, you know, the website management, whatever stuff. But but yeah, you know, it's just another way to really make your business work for you.

[00:40:38] Right. And like you said, to get more people to see and buy your stuff. Absolutely. That's a great strategy. And again, like as I showed, that's why we have those boxes for the custom pricing for each marketplace, because you might want to account for those fees as you're.

[00:40:54] Yeah. So yeah. And people some people do it the other way. They throw it on eBay first because, you know, the global marketplace. And if it doesn't sell there, you know, after a certain amount of time,

[00:41:04] they move it to their their personal website, you know, and it just sits there. So I you know, there's so much flexibility as it relates to that. And it'll be even easier with your tool if you if you go with Shopify. So I think that's great. That's great.

[00:41:20] Yeah. We're also adding WooCommerce, just in case anybody out there is on. Oh, I used to I used to have a WooCommerce site way back in the day. There you go. Cool. But yeah, Desiree,

[00:41:33] I appreciate you having me here and kind of getting to hear off about a plotify. But I hope kind of that was a helpful product walk through. I only showed really the uploading part. So anybody here is interested to see also the in-person stuff, right?

[00:41:47] Printing tags for your jewelry, doing accounting, invoices, memos, managing customers again more than welcome to go on our website. Request a demo will go through everything. And yeah, I don't know how you want to wrap this up, but I think we'll do something special for your listeners here

[00:42:01] in terms of a plotify as well. Yeah, yeah, we'll have a link or something. But is there anything else that you want to share about a plotify or, you know, how can people reach out to you?

[00:42:15] Would they just go to uploadify.ai and they can message you or? Yeah, I think that's the best way to go to our website. There is a button that says, you know, book a demo.

[00:42:24] You fill out your quick form and then we'll be in touch to schedule a call. Again, one on one call over the walk through everything. If you at that point feel like you want to get started with a plotify, we'll set you up with a free trial.

[00:42:36] I think we'll probably do something special along the trial for some of your listeners. So just make sure that if you are requesting a demo and getting a call with us, let us know that you came from this podcast

[00:42:46] so we can actually go and say thank you back to Desiree and then, you know, hook you up with a little something something as well. And yeah, we'll set up the free trial and get everything going. Yeah, our trial is not time limited. It's actually limited by usage.

[00:43:04] So we'll probably be giving out like a pretty big pack of credits to your listeners so that they can upload for free, you know, a couple of maybe 100 items to each marketplace and really get a feel for the system. OK, OK.

[00:43:19] All right. So here's the brochure once again. And you can see in Daniel's name, he's got it. He's got it listed there. So if you guys do have any questions, feel free to reach out to him.

[00:43:31] I will put a link to the website, like I said, in the description and in the show notes. And, Daniel, I hope that, you know, maybe you'll come back when you when you, you know, have something new to announce.

[00:43:43] I would love to have you come back and share because I know you said you're working on some things. So yeah, maybe in a few months, maybe before Miami. Absolutely before Miami. I should have something for you in a couple in a couple of weeks,

[00:43:57] maybe a couple of months here for sure. Some exciting stuff. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Keep me posted, because like I said, I like to make sure that us as jewelry resellers, we have the most up to date information.

[00:44:08] So if if you have something to share or to announce or whatever, please let me know, because I have no problem doing a part two and getting the word out there to help you and helping other people know what's out there, too. Awesome. Well, thank you so much.

[00:44:24] You're super cool to be here and kind of share a little bit more about about us and also just chat all things jewelry, e-cards. Yeah. Yeah. So, oh, wait, before I let you go, what is your favorite type of jewelry? Like either to sell, to collect?

[00:44:41] I mean, rings probably. Really? Yeah. I like rings. Actually, I have a couple that I wear. I just I'm not wearing them right now. My favorite type of jewelry. I don't know, man. The more expensive it is, the more I like it.

[00:44:58] Hey, we totally agree on that, right? That's my favorite type of jewelry, too. She's the jewelry that, yeah, like colored stones. I like colored stones a lot. Yellow diamonds. Yeah. Sapphire is emeralds. And I like my I like my hair shape cuts as well as my emerald cuts.

[00:45:20] That was it. Yeah. Well, just looking at, you know, you and your background and stuff, I can tell you have a very defined style, very, very clean, but also very bold. This was also the cleanest part of my apartment. So that's why we're here today.

[00:45:34] Well, I appreciate that. I appreciate you doing that. Of course. All right. Awesome. Thank you so much. And thanks everybody for watching and listening. And hopefully see you soon again. Yep. Sounds good.
